Welcome

Welcome to the Atlantic Researchers of Paranormal Activity (ARPA) website

My name is Larry Parks and I am the founder of the Atlantic Researchers of Paranormal Activity (ARPA). I will try to make this as brief as possible, I know nobody really likes to sit here and read about someone else… but some may be interested! I began ARPA because I have always had an interest in the paranormal… I am a little different then most paranormal researchers because I had never had a paranormal experience like so many others have had... I had heard the tons of stories, but I didn’t just want to assume ghosts exist… and I didn’t want to assume that they didn’t exist and that the 100’s of people I have heard stories from must all be crazy. So, I decided to start an organization that is interested in determining the truth by approaching paranormal activity with a scientific eye. I will say that I am sure, in most cases, that SOMETHING exists that we cannot explain… but my purpose, and the purpose of ARPA, is to determine what it is, and provide objective evidence of it. I also enjoy being able to tell clients that they are not crazy. A lot of people I have talked to have always assumed if they talked to anyone about activities of this nature, they would be considered “insane”. Not only does ARPA want to get this evidence for our own purposes… but I want to help people understand what is going on in their house or business and give them the understanding needed to deal with their situation... and of course to provide them with objective evidence that they can show to people and say “See, I am NOT crazy”.

I have spent the majority of my life in the IT (Information Technology) field and currently possess some of today’s leading certifications (CCNA, MCSE, Net+, A+)… if there was a certification for paranormal research, I would have that too… but unfortunately, this is not an area that is traditionally accepted. The technology knowledge that I carry is very useful on investigations... and provides me with the means to better utilize and prepare equipment to be more reliable when investigating. Thanks for being patient enough to make it to the end of this brief biography, I hope you enjoy the site and hope you can find useful information on it. We look forward to providing more useful information in the future... as the number of cases continues to grow that ARPA investigates, the more knowledge we will be able to relay!
