Request Paranormal Investigation

Important information

No Charge. ARPA does not charge anything for investigations, we do this solely for research purposes. The cost of running this organization is paid for mostly by donations from the general public, as well as donations from ARPA members.

Children. ARPA considers investigations that involve children very important and of a higher priority. We do, however, recommend that no child should be present during the actual investigation... exceptions, of course, can be made.

The less people the better. The more people that are in the house on an investigation, the harder it is to collect and prove paranormal activity. If at all possible, it would be best to remove everyone from the house while conducting the investigation.

Hours. Investigations can go anywhere from 4 hours to 6 hours or more. Some investigations may have to be spread into several days. Unfortunately, paranormal activity doesn't happen at our command. The more evidence that is collected, the better chance we have of actually catching something.

Scheduling. All investigations (with few exceptions) will be conducted at night. Generally, activity seems to happen more at night. Not to mention it is much easier to see small amounts of light in the dark and is easier for cameras and cctv equipment to pickup activity.

Lights Off / AC Unit Off. Depending on the atmosphere, we may request that the AC/Heating units be turned off during the investigation. These units generally blow more air through the house causing more dust particles in the air that can create false positives on photographs and video. We also will have to turn off every light in the house for the same reason we do investigations at night. (See "Scheduling" above)

Investigation Procedures

Step 1. Contact us through e-mail (investigations@thearpa.com) describing your situation. Leave a phone number for us to contact you back. Whether or not we decide to take your case, we WILL call you back. The only reason we would not take a case is if it was out of the realm of what we investigate... in which case, we will definately give you the resources and contact information for other organizations that could help you more than we could.

Step 2. Top members of ARPA will want to setup an inital interview with you, to get an idea of the activity, interview persons who have claimed to witness activity, plot out what equipment we will want to bring, and where we will want to set it up. This initial interview should not take up much time... depending on the size of the location and number of people to interview, but could take up to 1-2 hours. We will also give you a few documents to read over and sign regarding permission to access the site and a confidentiality agreement. Shortly after this initial interview, we will contact you to setup scheduling arrangements for the full investigation. In some cases, we may do the initial interview and investigation on the same day, depending on your schedule.

Step 3. After the investigation is complete, we will review all of the collected evidence during the investigation and generate a final report of anything we have found. We will setup another interview with you to go over what was found and what it means.

!!IMPORTANT!! We are always available for any questions you may have, even months after the investigation... we will always do our best to help you out... and we will always keep the line of communication open for you.
